Statham Fan

Thank you so much to alert fangirl, gecko for scans from a French magazine she found with an article about ‘Le Transporteur 3′!  I’ve uploaded them to the Statham Fan Gallery for your viewing pleasure.  She wasn’t kidding when she told me that the pictures of Jason are good….they’re grrrrreat!  Love the full page picture of him.  And it looks like we’ll see him shirtless again, judging by the picture where he’s tearing his shirt off.  Yowzah…mommy likey!

Someone over at Imdb has found a French video of filming of ‘Transporter 3′!  It highlights Robert Knepper who plays the bad guy this time around, but features a rehearsal of a fight scene with Jason.  That answers my earlier question about whether or not they would fight in the movie.  Jason looks so good in this video!

I’ve been debating which picture to use for June’s photo of the month.  I’ve narrowed it down to these three below.  The first one is from our loyal Jason fangirl gecko who scanned a French article with some gorgeous Jason pics.  The other two are from on-the-set of ‘Crank 2′.  I couldn’t resist the kissing photo…I just imagine me there instead of Amy.  Ha!  I’m going to let you guys choose which one you want for June’s photo of the month!

Does anybody know what movie project is next for Jason?  I know he will be busy in August promoting ‘Death Race’ since it will be released on the 22nd of that month.  But after that…is he taking a long break?  He has been going non-stop with filming in the last year so maybe he will get some much needed R and R.  But I thought he had something lined up with Vinnie…a remake of an old Richard Burton movie called ‘The Wild Geese’.  I guess we’ll see.  The synopsis for that movie is:

A British multinational seeks to overthrow a vicious dictator in central Africa. It hires a band of (largely aged) mercenaries in London and sends them in to save the virtuous but imprisoned opposition leader who is also critically ill and due for execution. Just when the team has performed a perfect rescue, the multinational does a deal with the vicious dictator leaving the mercenary band to escape under their own steam and exact revenge.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY DOLL!!!  It’s my wonderful husband’s birthday today and I just wanted to post a special greeting to my biggest blog fan!  He not only puts up with this silly hobby of mine, but even helps find news for me to post….such a great enabler.  He’s the hottest, sweetest, coolest, funniest, most generous, handsome and caring person I know.  (Sorry Jason, but he’s here with me in the flesh and you’re not!)  I hope you enjoyed your birthday race weekend sweetie pie!

This blog from FirstShowing.net gives us a glimpse of ’Death Race’ in the latest issue of Empire Magazine.  I can’t wait to grab my copy and scan it for you all!  We’ve seen the photo with Jason in the Back-to-the-Future car with the flux capacitor, but I hope they have more of him inside the magazine.

Thanks a million to dvrmnl and redsaturn for alerting us to these pictures on MavrixOnline of Jason and one of his ‘Crank 2′ co-stars, Clifton Collins, Jr.!  Jason looks so fit and happy!  They were both at the Maxim Hot 100 party sometime last week.  Of course our boy wouldn’t pass up an opportunity to be at a party where a ton of hot chicks are hanging out!  He’s no dummy!

I know I’ve chosen to dedicate this blog to Jason Statham, but I’m only human and I have other interests as well.  My husband and I actually enjoy watching shows like Dancing with the Stars and American Idol.  There…I said it…so shoot me!  I don’t think these are spoilers unless you’ve been living under a rock, but congrats to Kristi Yamaguchi and David Cook!  We know from past interviews that Jason’s parents are singers and dancers so I would think he might have an interest in the shows I’ve mentioned.  I bet he would kick ass in Dancing.  I’ve never heard him sing and he said on Regis that he can’t, but I bet he’s just being modest.  I said this before, but I would love to see Jason do some singing and dancing someday.  Aside from doing a romantic comedy, a musical would really help him shed that ‘action hero’ typecasting.

The Indy 500 is upon us this weekend and being a race family, my husband and I are gearing up for the big day!  There have been many celebrity guests who are expected to attend.  Among the usual suspects are Dr. McDreamy, David Letterman, Paul Newman and then the unusual…Kristi Yamaguchi, Julianne Hough…is this the Indy 500 or Dancing with the Stars?   I keep hoping that Jason would show up and partake in all the festivities of the greatest spectacle in racing.  We’re going all out this year with all the grills and frills, tons of food and plenty of fun!  Come on down Jay!
