Statham Fan

A YouTuber recently uploaded a very short video clip of behind-the-scenes footage of ‘Death Race’.  Jason’s not in it, but it shows a very big, very loud vehicle called the Dreadnaught that will be used in the film.  You can tell that the studio has put a lot of money behind this movie.  I hope it all pays off!

I’ve posted for a couple years on the Adrien Brody fansite just as a web-friend.  The webmistress considers her site a fansite, as opposed to a blog.  I consider this site as my personal blogsite.  Sure, I seem to mostly talk about Jason Statham.  But I’ve come to realize that if you want totally straight Jason news, you can go to his many fansites that exist on the net.  If you want the combination of Jason news, talk, commentary and entertainment–you can visit me!   I truly enjoy all of your comments as well.  It’s nice to have some interaction every once in a while.

Having said all that, I was wondering how you would feel if I would sometimes post entries of a more personal nature?  I finally got around to sending this address to many family and friends during my Christmas card blitz.  Many of them have probably visited this humble blog recently and wondered what the hell is going on here.  It’s okay…I haven’t lost my mind.  I’m just blogging and having a good time.  A bonus for me is getting to know all of you in various parts of the world.  Some people forget that there are real human beings behind the imaginative usernames and comments.  That you are real and exist in your amazing world and for a moment of your life, you chose to visit me and my world.  I thank you for existing and helping me keep going at this.

Many thanks to Tuxon2002 over at the Unofficial Jason Statham Fan Club messageboard for the recent pictures of our boy in London.  He obviously spent the Christmas holiday with his family and friends.  We’re so used to seeing Jay in casual shirt and shorts back in L.A. that it was a very different look he sported in the cold weather.   What do you think of his outfit? 

L.A. Times.com has picked their list of winning movies for 2008 and one of them is ‘Death Race’!  We know how much they like Jason anyway so I’m sure whatever movie he’s starring in would be promoted as a hit for them.  You and I already know it’s a winner just because Jason’s in it.  They say the release of ‘Death Race’ will be in September.  Jason seems to have a lot of his films premiere in his birthday month or close to it.  Must be good luck!

Thanks to RedSaturn for giving us this link to our first photo of Jason in ‘Death Race’!   The writer of the article was a bit critical of our boy, but can be forgiven since for some reason he/she was a huge fan of the original movie (Yikes!).   I just love the fact that we finally get to see a glimpse of Jay in this film.  I’ve beenwaiting for production stills for months.   Who cares what he/she thinks….Jason still looks gooooooood!!!   And I studied the picture as the writer asked and all I see is a hunk.   Oh…and the other thing I noticed is the flux capacitor looking thingie behind him.  Those production people watched too much ‘Back to the Future’ movies in their youth.

Don’t forget that the ‘War’ DVD release is slated for New Year’s Day…January 1st!  Most stores should be closed on that day, but you can pick it up after your reveling and partying the very next day.  According to this VideoBusiness.com article the movie grossed $22 million.  I didn’t realize it really made that much.  Let’s help push its profits over-the-top by purchasing the DVD and adding another great Jason work to your collection!

What a Christmas present!   FirstShowing.Net has ‘The Bank Job’ trailer for us!   Just when you thought there wouldn’t be any Jason news….    Looks like this film gives Jason another rare opportunity to show the world that he can act.  The trailer is awesome and the movie looks promising.  I’m looking forward to its release!

I wanted to take some time to wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!   I hope you have a safe and fun Christmas.  And wherever you are Jason Statham….I especially wish you a wonderful Christmas and I thank you for the work you do that entertains us and for your hotness that keeps me blogging.  Heh heh…

Jason was caught Christmas shopping and we have the video to prove it!  There was lots from which to choose.  The items he was looking at needed some special wrapping, but I think he didn’t mind them without.

I found some exclusive pap photos of Jason just out and about clubbing it the week after Thanksgiving and this past Friday night.  One set of photos has him arriving at Hyde Lounge in L.A. with girlfriend, Alex and another unknown woman on November 27th.  The second set of photos is from Friday, December 21st and he’s with a bunch of guy friends leaving the Goa Nightclub in Hollywood.  You can find the whole slew of pictures in the Statham Gallery.
