They cast Timothy Olyphant in the role of the Hitman…bad move. I agree with this blogger when she said ” I still think they should’ve gone with Jason Statham.” Too bad there are industry people who still don’t get it. How can you go wrong casting Jason Statham in anything? Ask Guy Ritchie…….oh wait, on second thought. He’s written another Lock, Stock/Snatch type movie called ‘RocknRolla.’ But this time he didn’t cast Jason. ’Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ and ‘Snatch’ were successes partly because of Jay! Has Guy lost his mind? Oh well…I don’t think it’s such a bad thing though– Jason distancing himself from Mr. Ritchie for a while. After ‘Revolver’, I think he’s paid off his debt to the director many times over.
***Added note: Vinnie Jones renewed his 13-year marriage vows in Vegas without Jason present. Either Jay had a prior committment to attend to, or just stayed away to keep the spotlight off of him, or he was seriously hung over from the Hatton victory party.
